This guide outlines the various traditional grade calculation formulas used depending on your teaching situation.
**Quarter Grades (Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4) Set by individual teachers based on Curriculum guidance **
**Semester Test Grades (X1,X2) Total points set to 100%(For information regarding semester tests click here.**
Full Year Class (High Schools, Career Tech, Middle Schools - Grades 7-12*):
- Final Grade (F1): 50% Semester 1 Grade (S1) + 50% Semester 2 Grade (S2)
- Semester Grade (S1 & S2): 45% Quarter 1 Grade (Q1) + 45% Quarter 2 Grade (Q2) + 10% Semester Test (X1/X2)
- Quarter Grades (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4): Determined by individual teachers based on curriculum guidance.
- Semester Tests (X1 & X2): Total Points: 100 each (Specific date range set by district)
*7th Grade Civics and Geography course uses this grade scale even though it changes at semester.
Semester Length Class (Grades 7-12):
First Class Taught Each Year:
- Final Grade (F1): Q1 45% Q2 45% X1 410%
Second Class Taught Each Year:
- Final Grade (F1): Q3 45% Q4 45% X2 10%
Full Year Class (Elementary Schools - Grades 1-6):
- Final Grade (F1): 25% Quarter 1 Grade (Q1) + 25% Quarter 2 Grade (Q2) + 25% Quarter 3 Grade (Q3) + 25% Quarter 4 Grade (Q4)
- Quarter Grades (Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4): Determined by individual teachers based on curriculum guidance.
Full Year Class (Elementary Schools - Kindergarten):
- Kindergarten does not use traditional grade calculations. Don't change any of your settings.
