Student Chromebooks
BCBE has purchased at least one Chromebook for each student enrolled, and in addition has purchased a surplus for each school to have on hand to be used as replacements when a student presents a machine for repairs. These surplus Chromebooks should not be used for any other reasons unless special permission is given by Ed Tech. A student may be issued a Chromebook the day after the student has been enrolled into INow, and the student’s account has been created. The student account to be used on the Chromebook (the @ibaldwin.org account) is usually created via a scheduled process that runs each night. Students must return their Chromebook at the end of the school year, or when they withdraw during the school year. Most repairs are covered under warranty, but students may be charged for damages or losses if deemed appropriate.
