This article covers information related to using Schoology and PowerTeacher Pro to synchronize grades. You should only use this information, or Schoology, if you have attended some type of official training. All Schoology users are required to have proof of official training.
Schoology has the ability to sync graded assignments from courses to PowerTeacher Pro. There are some settings that must be enabled for this passthrough to work. Also, teachers using this feature MUST manually sync their grades for them to appear in PowerTeacher Pro. PowerTeacher Pro is the program of record for student grades. Any item not entered into PowerTeacher Pro is not considered part of the student's official record nor will parents see it in the parent portal.
Teachers do have the option of not syncing the grades from the courses and can choose to enter them manually as they would any other graded assignment. When there is a discrepancy, PowerTeacher Pro will be used as the official grade for any course work.
