A student may not be able to view a YouTube video on their BCBE issued Chromebook for a couple of reasons.
YouTube Video is Blocked
Some YouTube videos are visible to students on their Chromebooks, and some are blocked intentionally by our content filter. For more detail on how to determine if a YouTube video is blocked, and how to request it gets unblocked, visit the following page:

Incorrect Link Posted by Teacher
Many time Youtube videos are blocked on the student side due to content or unknown categorization. There are times when videos are blocked even though they are from trusted sources such as Khan Academy. The issue is how the link is copied.
There are two ways to get a Youtube video link. One way is just to copy the link from the URL bar. That method works. The link can be posted into various areas including Google Classroom and students will be able to click on it. The second way is to click the word share below the video you want to share. A menu will pop up and you will be able to copy the URL listed there. The issue is that the URL from the second method is created in a way that our filter sees it as something it should block.
Here is an example of the share video link. (TEACHER SHOULD NOT USE THIS LINK)

The first link is what causes the issue. If you are using the link in Google Classroom you can also search for Youtube videos in the classroom when you are adding materials or assignment and it will work.
