Overview
Zoom is offering BCBE and other K-12 school districts across the country access to premium video-conferencing features at no charge through July 1, 2020.
Zoom accounts accessed through our BCBE account will include the following:
- No time limit on sessions (40 minute limit removed)
- Single sign-on via the myBCBE Portal
How do I log in to Zoom?
- Log in to the myBCBE Employee Portal at https://my.bcbe.org
- Click on the Zoom icon.
You are now logged in and will be directed to your Zoom profile! On this page, you can find your Personal Meeting ID URL that you will share with your students.
How do I create a virtual meeting?: Elementary teachers / 1 class
Step 1: Log in to Zoom
Step 2: Copy the Personal Meeting ID URL from your Zoom profile.
Step 2: Communicate the link out to your students using your chosen method of communication (Email, Remind, Google Classroom, etc.)
How do I set up my virtual meetings: Secondary teachers / multiple classes
Step 1: Click on the Zoom application in the myBCBE Portal
Step 2: Click on "Schedule a Meeting"
Step 3. Enter the details for your class. For example:
Topic: 1st Period - Algebra I
Step 4: Select "Recurring meeting" if you like to set a repeating schedule
Step 5. Select "Save". On the next screen, click "Copy the invitation"
Step 6: Communicate the invitation link out to your students using your preferred method (Email, Google Classroom, etc.)
Step 7: Repeat steps 3-6 for each of your classes.
How do my students log in to Zoom?
Once the students receive the link, they will either click on it, or, depending on your method of delivery, enter the web address in their browser. At the next screen, they need to chose the "join from your browser" option.

Waiting Room
Description: The Waiting Room feature allows the host to control when a participant joins the meeting. As the meeting host, you can admit attendees one by one or hold all attendees in the waiting room and admit them all at once

Description: Automatically mute all participants when they join the meeting. The host controls whether participants can unmute themselves

Disable screen sharing for students
Description: Allow only the teacher to share their screen or content during meetings
Directions: Settings > Screen Sharing > Who can share? > Select "Host only" > Click "Save"
