In a case where a student loses a Chromebook, power adapter, or intentionally or maliciously damages a Chromebook, it may be deemed appropriate to charge the student for repair. In this event, the DRS will process the repair request, print 2 copies of the invoice and give one to the student (parent) and one copy to the school Bookkeeper.
Note - While you may use a standard paper invoice for this, check out this article on how to use Destiny to print an invoice.
The student should be issued a replacement for the lost/damaged Chromebook or Power Adapter at the time they report the loss or damage. In the event a fee is charged we provide a working Chromebook/power adapter at the time of the billing, and do not wait until payment is received. Payment is handled between the parent/student and the bookkeeper - no money is to be collected at the Help Desk. Appeals to charges by the student or parent can be discussed with the school administrators.
Note - the attached PDF document shows the account number to be used by the Bookkeeper, as dictated by the Business and Finance Department.
