If a student loses a Chromebook they are to be charged $300 for a replacement. The student is to be issued a new Chromebook immediately - no need to wait until any money is collected.
If a student loses a charger they are to be charged $20 for a replacement. The student is to be issued a new Chromebook immediately - no need to wait until any money is collected.
If a student damages a Chromebook and it appears to you that the the damage was intentional, or malicious, then the student is to be charged $100 for the non-warranty repair of the Chromebook. The student is to be issued a new Chromebook immediately - no need to wait until any money is collected.
If a student damages a Chromebook multiple times during the school year (multipe screen breaks for example) then the student is to be charged $100 for the non-warranty repair of the Chromebook. The student is to be issued a new Chromebook immediately - no need to wait until any money is collected.
In any of these cases, the DRS or STC at the school will do the following two steps:
1. Record the transaction in the Frontline Inventory system.
2. Submit the request to charge the student to your Bookkeeper.

Then complete the form for the desired request (to request charging a student, or a refund)
The student should be issued a replacement for the lost/damaged Chromebook or Power Adapter at the time they report the loss or damage. We do not wait until payment is received to issue a replacement. Payment is handled between the parent/student and the bookkeeper - no money is to be collected at the Help Desk.
Note - the attached PDF document shows the account number to be used by the Bookkeeper, as dictated by the Business and Finance Department.
