In a case where a student loses a Chromebook, power adapter, or intentionally or maliciously damages a Chromebook, it may be deemed appropriate by the local school Principal to charge the parents for repair. In this event, the STC or DRS should complete the Notice of Indebtedness form, using the prices listed below, and give one copy to the student (parent) and one copy to the school Bookkeeper.
The student should be issued a replacement for the lost/damaged Chromebook or Power Adapter at the time they report the loss or damage. In the event a fee is charged (give the student a copy, and the bookkeeper a copy) we provide a working Chromebook/power adapter at the time of the billing, and do not wait until payment is received. Payment is handled between the parent/student and the bookkeeper - no money is to be collected at the Help Desk.
Note - the attached PDF document shows the account number to be used by the Bookkeeper, as dictated by the Business and Finance Department.
